In a genus known for vigorous growth and heavy flowering, this descendant of the now ubiquitous H. ’Stella de Oro’ puts on a show that shames its neighbors. Bloom starts in mid-June, very much the early side of the Daylily season, and persists without a sign of flagging deep into October. This variety is "dormant" (they lose their foliage after frost and remain leafless or without foliage for some period of time that is variable by cultivar and growing region).
