A popular addition to many landscapes, these lily-look-alikes provide a range of bloom times and colors, making it possible to have full-season color from a single species of plant. From evergreen to perennial, according to variety, flowers range in color from pale yellow to dark golden hues to mauves and pinks. Basal, blade-like foliage arches gracefully. Useful for erosion control, as specimen plants or background plantings, these reliable favorites are drought resistant and tolerate a wide variety of soil conditions.
