LIRIOPE spicata (Creeping Lily Turf)
Pale lavender to white flower spikes bloom in late summer, rising on 10" stalks above dense arching, evergreen (in southern zones) tufts of narrow grassy foliage. Perfect for banks, beds and at the base of trees where roots will not permit grass to grow - an almost indestructible plant for stubborn areas. Outstanding for erosion control. This mat-forming Liriope gracefully fills those spots where nothing else will grow and will choke out most weeds.

An excellent low-maintenance turf substitute. Tolerates drought, heat, poor soil, humidity, slopes and moist areas. Moderately tolerant of salt and deer tend to avoid it.
