Daylily (Hemerocallis) ’Ruby Stella’
{50 Bare Root plants}

(P.P.A.F.) This ravishing beauty is a slightly fragrant, deep ruby red version of the classic yellow Stella D'Oro, the first reblooming daylily. Vibrant three-inch-wide dark wine-red blooms gradually transition to a green- and yellow-streaked throat. It is a proven top perennial performer, with a great compact habit.

If you're tired of seeing the most popular daylily of all time but appreciate the blooming stamina of the reblooming Stella D'Oro, the ever-blooming daylily 'Ruby Stella' is a new generation daylily that offers gardeners similar repeat blooms but of deep red flowers. It begins flowering in June and reblooms persistantly until first frost, without any need for deadheading!

Unlike most daylilies, it reblooms throughout summer with sufficient reliability as to be categorized as ever-blooming (reblooming). 'Ruby Stella' is a mid-sized dwarf clumper, 14-20" tall, spacing 18-24". It is drought tolerant, but blooms much better with regular watering. Deer tend to avoid.

This variety is "dormant" (they lose their foliage after frost and remain leafless or without foliage for some period of time that is variable by cultivar and growing region).
