Although 'Hyperion' has been around since 1925, it remains unsurpassed in its color class. The flowers retain a sweet fragrance lost in most modern hybrids. One of the great performers and one of the few hybrids created in the 1920s that has not disappeared from commerce.

Planted together in large numbers, they quickly crowd out weeds and make a carefree and colorful ground cover. An early- to mid-season repeat bloomer, 36-42" tall, spacing 20-30".

Drought tolerant and one of the few groundcovers that will grow under walnut trees and along salted driveways.

This variety is "dormant" (they lose their foliage after frost and remain leafless or without foliage for some period of time that is variable by cultivar and growing region).
