Liriope m. 'Monroe White'

Liriope muscari 'Monroe White' is a "classic" Liriope with wide, dark green 3/8" - 1/2" leaf blades up to 16 inches long. Stunning (and rare) dense white flower spikes cluster on tall white stems in late summer or early fall and are followed by shiny black berries.
This low maintenance evergreen plant is so attractive it makes a great specimen as well as a superb ground cover, border or edging. It is excellent for erosion control on banks and slopes and is perfect for using around the base of trees where roots will not permit grass to grow.
Requires full shade, prefers well drained soil. Although evergreen, cutting the foliage back hard in early spring (before new growth emerges) assures a clean clump throughout the summer. Slightly slower growth than most Liriopes. Mature height 12" - 16", spacing 10" - 15".
