Phlox subulata 'Snowflake' is an evergreen, low-growing carpet-like spreader with a mossy appearance. The leaves are linear and sharply pointed. White blooms cover the plant for two to four weeks in spring. Somewhat less vigorous than other Phlox varieties. Moderate growth rate. Mature height 4-6", spacing 8-12".Creeping phlox is a versatile, easy to grow groundcover which forms a dense carpet-like mat no taller than 6 inches. Recommended in small and large plantings. Tolerates drought and adapts to a wide range of soil conditions. Recommended for erosion control. Excellent in rock gardens, on slopes and in flower borders.
