Coreopsis

Who can resist this sunny evergreen groundcover? Certainly not hummingbirds, butterflies or birds - they adore the nectar and seeds her profuse blossoms offer. Coreopsis is brilliant in borders and edgings and when planted in mass creates a sea of color ranging from moony yellow to sunset yellow.

Coreopsis is easily grown in well drained average to dry soil, tolerates poor soil, humidity, seashores, slopes, and one of our varieties, Moonbeam, is good for erosion control. We love small clumps of Coreopsis as a specimen, but if you have a blank space to fill, this perennial is gorgeous planted in mass.
