The delivery was exactly on time and as ordered. The quick help by phone on planning how much to order and how to plant and care for it, was much appreciated. We hired help and planted within 2 days, in freshly tilled topsoil adding compost and permatil to prevent vole destruction. We planted near Oct 30 last year in North Carolina and most of the plants are fine. However we have an area of plants that did not do well. A scattering of the plants simply died. The area had the same soil as adjacent areas that did well, and so similar sun/shade. Don't know why they are not doing well. We have applied Preem but are dealing with weeds. Some warm weather came early, and may have gotten ahead of the Preem. We are buying 50 potted plants now to replace some of the lost ones. Most of the yard is a happy pattern of baby or blooming periwinkle, beginning to trail. And we've had alternating 45 or 75 degree weather since February 1st, including a day of snow! and a day of 85 degrees!. We applied Hollytone for fertilizer and then learned from new soil report that we need nitrogen. So we applied Blood Meal in early March. Very pleased with the results. Hoping new plants do better than the lost ones.We planted the whole front yard other than perimeter gardens, and walkways. Very pretty!
