We've now ordered three batches of Liriope spicata for a problem area that was too shady for grass. It's been a winner that solved our problem and also crowded out weeds.

Bare root plants are an economical start, but the larger 2-1/2 in. plants may be better if you're impatient. I'll be back for more next season.
