Mostly dead after a few weeks

The description says this plant does well in full sun, but mine are mostly dead after a few weeks. It’s been hot and I watered twice a day, but they didn’t survive. The plants I planted in the shade look better.

They will need considerably more water to get established in full sun than in shade, at least an inch of water per week the first summer. If you have sandy or other soil that does not retain moisture well you will need even more than that. You have to watch the plants and increase the amount of water they receive if you see them wilt and/or the edges start to curl and dry up.
