Creeping Liriope Reduces Mowing

We purchased 50 creeping liriope in 2 inch containers to plant along a steep hill that bottoms out at a beautifully wooded ravine. We have been mowing ‘‘tis steep hill for years and realized as we got older that wasn’t safe. So in 2015 we planted the area with small plants about 10-12 inches apart on the lower half of the hill where it is steepest. Today, that area has completely filled in and is lush with lirope. It is beautiful, and just as importantly has meant no more mowing on that part of the hill. Thank goodness for these lush and healthy plants! I have order more to plant on another part of the hill.
