The plants were healthy but they were not what I expected for the price. There sprigs of Mondo which maybe made up a gallon container.

Sheila, did they not match the photo? As we explain on How to decide between bare root and potted Dwarf Mondo Grass plants (which is on the page you ordered from) the bare roots are best used in small spaces.
