Helleborus 'Spring Sparkle Red', offered here as Lenten Rose 'Spring Sparkle Red', is an evergreen lenten rose grown for red-toned blooms above handsome winter foliage and leathery evergreen foliage. It matures 16 to 18 inches tall with a 18 to 24 inches spread, giving you a clear footprint for edging, grouping, or mixed perennial beds. The habit forms a durable, rounded clump, so the foliage and bloom remain easy to place near paths, patios, or the front of a planting.

Choose part shade to full shade within USDA Zones 4 to 9, then provide humus-rich, well-drained soil and regular water while the roots establish. Its adaptable nature is strongest when evergreen foliage keeps texture in the planting. Good spacing helps air move around the clump and lets the stated spread develop naturally.
