Plan for a mature size around 6-10 feet tall and roughly 6-10 feet wide, depending on support and pruning. Give it a sturdy trellis, fence, pergola, or arbor, and train young stems as they grow. It is hardy in USDA Zones 5-8. For a neat look, prune in late winter or early spring before new growth begins, and trim only as needed during the season to guide growth and manage any runners.
