Lamium 'Medley Mix' (spotted deadnettle) is a low, creeping perennial grown for its bright, variegated foliage and small spring-to-summer blooms. You can use it as a fast-filling groundcover in shady beds, at the front of mixed borders, or where you want color to spill over walls, edging, and containers.

Plant it in part shade to full shade in average, well-drained soil. Keep it evenly moist during establishment, then water as needed; it handles occasional dry periods better once roots are settled. In hot, humid weather the foliage can thin or look tired; if that happens, shear or cut it back and you will often see fresh new growth follow.

At maturity, this selection typically stays around 6-12 inches tall and spreads into a low mat as stems root where they touch the ground. Use it where you can let it roam a bit, or simply trim the edges to keep it within bounds. It is commonly considered deer tolerant, and it is not suited to being walked on regularly.
