White Mazus (Mazus reptans 'Alba') quickly forms a dense ground-hugging carpet of twisty bright green foliage with fingernail sized leaves which remain green throughout the growing season and well into the fall (evergreen in southern zones). Interesting and unusual mini orchid-like spring blooms have three-fingered petals with one curving upwards, intricate white flowers are speckled with yellow. Excellent as a border, between stones, pavers, or in rock gardens. Excellent for planting over lilies and other bulbs - it shades their roots and adds another layer of color.
