Caesar's Brother' Siberian Iris is an herbaceous perennial with tall flower stalks above a low mound of foliage. It is one of the oldest and but still one of the best Siberians, still in great demand because few others can rival its deep coloring and exceptional vigor. In early summer it blooms profuse elegant deep purple flowers with white and yellow throats and black veining atop slender sword-like foliage.

Cut back flower stalks immediately after flowering to promote a second flowering.

General information about Iris sibirica (Siberian Iris):
Thrives in moist to wet conditions, where others will not. Their roots drive down deeply, which makes them drought tolerant and great plants for holding steep banks in place. After blooming, the grassy leaves stand erect and green until frost.

Particularly stunning around streams, pools, ponds and water gardens in naturalized settings. Use in mass plantings for the best effect. Clumps will grow together and inhibit weeds. Best to cut back all foliage in late fall to maintain a tidy appearance.

Prefers full sun and organically rich, slightly acidic soil. Prefers wet soil but will tolerate dry soil. Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Excellent for cut flowers. Best to divide them every 3-5 years, six weeks after blooming.

During a complete redo in my garden I ordered Siberian iris from about 5 different online companies, some of which I had used before. The Siberian iris I received from Classy Ground Covers were the best I have ever received from any company. I was so impressed... Read full review >

These bare root irises were packed very nicely and all look very healthy. Just wish you had more varieties of Siberian irises. What a great deal!

My plants arrived quickly and in perfect shape. They had been wrapped in moist moss to keep from drying out. The roots were long and healthy.
I will definitely order again!

The Siberian iris arrived very fast after they were ordered. The plants were in great condition and the price was excellent. I would highly recommend Classy Groundcovers and will definitely order from them in the future!
