This flowering quince forms a dense, woody, multi-stemmed shrub that matures around 24-48 inches tall and typically spreads about 48-60 inches. Give it room to widen, and you will get a fuller plant and a heavier bloom show as it ages.

Plant it in full sun to part shade for best results. Full sun encourages the strongest flowering, while light afternoon shade can be helpful in hotter sites. It adapts to many soils, including clay, as long as drainage is reasonable.
