Nepeta × 'Six Hills Giant' is a tough, floriferous catmint you can count on for months of color and easy care. You get aromatic gray-green foliage and airy spikes of violet-blue flowers on arching stems that create a soft, billowy look in the garden.
Plant it in full sun to part shade in well-drained soil for the best flowering and a neat habit. Mature size is typically about 24-36 inches tall with a spread around 24-48 inches, so give it room to mound and spill slightly over edges. Water to establish, then let the soil dry a bit between waterings; overly wet winter soils are the most common cause of decline.
After the first big flush of bloom, shear or cut the plant back to encourage fresh growth and repeat flowering. This variety is known for being drought tolerant once established and is commonly noted as resistant to deer and rabbits, making it a strong choice for borders, path edges, and pollinator-friendly plantings. In colder areas, leave stems up until spring for a bit of extra crown protection, then cut back as new growth starts.
