Taste of Heaven(TM) thornless blackberry (Rubus × 'Taste of Heaven(TM)') is an easy, highly productive bramble selected for truly large, sweet fruit and painless harvesting. You will enjoy a weeks-long harvest in summer, plus a vigorous, upright shrub form that fits neatly into an edible landscape or mixed border.

Give your plant plenty of light for best fruiting: full sun is ideal, though part sun/partial shade can work, especially where summers run hot. Plant in well-drained soil and keep moisture consistent while the roots establish. Mulch helps conserve moisture and keeps weeds down around the base without disturbing shallow roots.

This is a floricane-fruiting blackberry, meaning flowers and berries form on second-year canes. Each year, new canes grow (primocanes) and next year those canes fruit (floricanes). After harvest, remove the canes that fruited, and keep a manageable number of strong new canes for next season. If you want easier picking and tidier growth, tie canes to a simple trellis or support wires.

At maturity, expect about 36-60 inches in height with a 24-36 inch spread. Space plants so air can move through the canes, and water at the base to keep foliage drier. With basic yearly pruning and steady sun, you can look forward to generous bowls of berries and an attractive, thornless plant that is simple to live with.
