Purple Mazus (Mazus reptans): Breathtaking in bloom, loads of orchid-like, profuse purple blooms cover vibrant green foliage in spring. Outstanding as a border, between stones, or in rock gardens. Mature height 2".
Phlox 'Purple Beauty' (Phlox subulata 'Purple Beauty'): An evergreen, low-growing carpet-like spreader with a mossy appearance and dense, cascading coverage. Profuse lilac blooms with deep purple centers flower in late-spring to early summer. 4-6" tall.

the purple mazus were somewhat over grown and rather tangled together, but transplanted into the perennial border just fine

The mazus is spreading very well after just one summer in the ground. Thank goodness because I’m using it to try to stabilize a slope. It’s also reseeding well! The phlox is looking good, but a tad slower in spreading - but so pretty in the late spring/early summer!

The plants arrived well-timed for weekend planting and were so healthy! The packaging was all recycleable (which I really appreciated) and there was hardly any soil spilled in transport. I have ordered phlox elsewhere and the plants were about half the size... Read full review >
