Trumpet Creeper (Campsis radicans): Fabulous flaming orange-red miniature trumpet-shaped blossoms appear on deciduous emerald foliage from June-Sept. Twining or prostrate habit, will climb 30-40'.

Goldenstar, Green and Gold (Chrysogonum virginianum 'Pierre'): A carpet of jade-green mat-forming groundcover with superb, dense coverage. Sweet star-shaped sunny yellow flowers flood the foliage with color. Mature height 4-6".

Coreopsis 'Nana' (Coreopsis auriculata 'Nana'): Like a sunrise when in bloom, this groundcover has semi-evergreen to evergreen foliage that forms a dense green backdrop to profuse golden daisy-like flowers in late spring/early summer. 6-12" tall.

Southern Shield Fern (Dryopteris ludoviciana): The tall, upright growth habit and shiny/leathery dark green fronds make a striking specimen. Evergreen in southern climates, the fronds are 30-48" tall and 12" wide.

Phlox 'Blue Emerald' (Phlox subulata 'Blue Emerald'): Dainty and demure blue-lavender blooms blanket this low-growing evergreen carpet-like creeper in spring, painting slopes in amethyst tones. Excellent in rock gardens, on banks and in flower borders. 4-6" tall.
