Bring long-season color to your landscape with Weigela × 'Peach Kisses'. You get a compact, mounded shrub that fits easily into mixed borders, foundation beds, and larger containers. In spring it opens masses of soft peach to pink, trumpet-shaped flowers, then continues to flower in additional waves through the growing season for repeat color without a lot of work.
Place it where you can enjoy the bloom display and where it receives full sun for the best flowering. It will also tolerate part shade, especially in hotter climates, but fewer flowers can result as shade increases. Provide average, well-drained soil and water regularly during the first season to help roots establish. After that, water when the top few inches of soil begin to dry, avoiding consistently soggy conditions.
At maturity, expect it to reach about 24-48 inches tall and roughly 24-48 inches wide, forming a tidy mound. If you need to shape or reduce size, prune right after the main spring bloom so you do not remove next season's flower buds. A light cleanup of spent stems and occasional thinning of older branches keeps growth vigorous and helps maintain its dense form. Mulch with a thin layer of organic material to moderate soil moisture and temperature, keeping mulch pulled back from the base of the stems.
