Coreopsis grandiflora Solanna 'Glow', commonly sold as Tickseed 'Glow', is a compact selection with soft lemon-yellow flowers and a neat mounding habit. Dense green foliage rises about 12 to 18 inches tall and spreads roughly 15 to 20 inches wide, giving you an easy plant for sunny borders and containers. The bloom season runs from early summer into fall, creating steady color without a heavy or coarse texture.

Use it where you want a bright but gentle yellow that blends with many color schemes. It fits along walkways, near the front of perennial beds, in mass plantings, and in patio pots that need long-season flowers. The rounded habit pairs well with purple salvia, blue catmint, coneflowers, yarrow, sedum, dianthus, and fine-textured grasses. Butterflies and other pollinators add movement when the flowers are open.

Plant Coreopsis grandiflora Solanna 'Glow' in full sun and well-drained soil. Average to dry soil is usually enough, and the plant is valued for heat tolerance, waterwise performance after establishment, and a self-cleaning or easy-care bloom habit. Water consistently while roots settle in, then avoid soggy winter conditions and heavy fertilizer. A leaner site often keeps the clump compact and floriferous.

Little routine work is needed, but removing tired stems or lightly shearing after a heavy bloom flush can refresh the plant. Deer and rabbits are not usually serious problems, and the long bloom window makes this coreopsis useful when earlier perennials start to fade. Divide or replace older clumps as needed to maintain vigor. With sun and drainage, you get months of soft yellow color in a compact, pollinator-friendly package.
