Bring bold, sunny color to your garden with Coreopsis grandiflora SOLANNA™ 'Golden Sphere (Tickseed SOLANNA™ 'Golden Sphere'). This compact tickseed forms a neat mound and produces an impressive show of fully double, golden-yellow pompom blooms that keep coming with regular deadheading.

Plant it where you can give it plenty of light. Full sun is best for sturdy stems and the heaviest flowering. In very hot areas, a little afternoon shade can help flowers last longer, but avoid deep shade which can reduce bloom and make growth floppy.

Give it well-drained soil and avoid consistently wet sites, especially in winter. Once established, it handles dry spells well and is a smart choice for lean, sandy, or rocky soils. Water new plantings regularly until roots settle in; after that, water deeply only when the top few inches of soil dry out. A light feeding in spring is usually enough in average garden soil.

At maturity it stays nicely sized at about 12-15 inches tall with a 12-15 inch spread, making it ideal for borders, small spaces, and containers. Shear or cut back after a heavy flush of bloom to refresh foliage and encourage more flowers. It is generally hardy in USDA Zones 4-9 and is often less appealing to deer and rabbits than many other perennials, though browsing can still occur when pressure is high.
