Echinacea × 'Color Coded® Yellow My Darling' is a compact coneflower that brings clear yellow blooms with a warm, sunny glow through mid to late summer. You will get a tidy, well-branched plant that fits easily into beds, borders, and containers while still delivering plenty of flower power.

Plant it where it receives full sun for the strongest stems and most abundant blooms, though it will tolerate light shade. Give it well-drained soil and avoid consistently soggy spots. Water regularly as it establishes, then allow the soil to dry slightly between soakings; once settled in, it handles short dry spells better than heavy, wet conditions.

Expect a mature height of about 18 to 24 inches, with a spread around 16 to 20 inches. Space plants so air can move through the foliage, and keep mulch pulled back from the crown to reduce winter wetness. Deadheading will keep the plant looking fresh and may encourage continued flowering, while leaving a few spent blooms at the end of the season adds texture and interest. In late fall or early spring, you can cut stems back to tidy the clump and make room for new growth.
