You will get dense, pea-like blooms in late spring into early summer, held on sturdy stems above a clump of palmate leaves. This cultivar is best where summers are not excessively hot or humid, and it can be a short-lived perennial even in good conditions.

Plant in full sun for the strongest stems and best flowering, but give your plant light afternoon shade in hotter areas. You will have the best success in organically rich, slightly acidic, evenly moist, well-drained soil. Keep moisture consistent during growth and bloom, and avoid waterlogged sites. Mulch helps keep the root zone cooler and more evenly moist.
