Shore Juniper 'Golden Pacific™' (Juniperus conferta 'Golden Pacific') is a low, spreading evergreen conifer grown for its dense, creeping habit and bright golden needles.
At maturity, you can expect a compact mound just 5-8 inches tall that gradually spreads into a broad mat. It is an excellent choice for edging, rock gardens, and places where you want year-round color without frequent pruning.
Plant it in full sun for best color and strongest growth. It performs best in well-drained soil, especially sandy or lean sites, and it does not like consistently wet or heavy, poorly drained ground.
Once established, this juniper is very tolerant of dry conditions and coastal exposure, including salt spray. It is also useful on slopes and banks where the dense growth can help protect soil from washing.
Give it space to spread, keep competing weeds pulled while it fills in, and trim lightly only when needed to shape or to keep growth off walkways. Needles can be prickly, so place it where it will not be brushed often.
