Plant it where you can enjoy its vertical lines in borders, mixed perennial plantings, and naturalized areas. Mature size is about 40-48 inches tall with a spread near 24-30 inches, making it easy to tuck into smaller spaces or repeat in drifts for a soft screen effect.

Give it full sun for the strongest form and best flowering, though it will grow in part shade as well. It adapts to many soils and handles both average moisture and wetter sites; once established, it also tolerates periods of drought and dry soil.
