Daylily 'Rainbow Rhythm(R) Primal Scream' (Hemerocallis) is a bold, tall daylily selected for its enormous, glimmering tangerine-orange flowers with narrow, twisted petals and softly ruffled edges. You will get a dramatic mid-summer show on sturdy scapes that rise above clean, arching foliage.

Plant in full sun for the best bloom count, but it will also perform well in part shade. At maturity, expect foliage to form a clump about 30-34 inches tall with an 18-24 inch spread, making it a strong middle-to-back-of-border perennial.

In the ground, give it average moisture while establishing, then keep it evenly watered during active growth and bud development. Daylilies are adaptable and will tolerate a wide range of garden soils, but they look best in soil amended with compost and kept mulched to moderate moisture and temperature swings.

Remove spent blooms for a tidier look, and cut back old foliage in late fall or early spring before new growth resumes. If the clump becomes crowded or bloom count drops, you can divide it in early spring or right after flowering and replant divisions promptly.
