Use Sedum × 'Sunsparkler Sapphire Tuffet' when you want rich, dark foliage color in a compact, tidy groundcover that holds its shape through the season. You get smoky blue-purple, succulent leaves from spring onward, followed by hot pink flower clusters later in the year for a bold, low-growing accent.

Plant it in full sun to part shade. More sun generally brings out the deepest foliage color and the best bloom, but a bit of afternoon shade is helpful in hotter or very dry sites. Give it very well-drained soil; drainage matters more than fertility, and lean or rocky soil can work well. Space plants to allow their mature width (about 15-18 inches) and to keep air moving around the clumps.

Once established, it can handle short dry spells, but it will not tolerate consistently wet soil, especially in winter.
