General information that applies to all plants:
Applying a balanced fertilizer in the spring as plants emerge will promote the amount and duration of blooming. It is recommended that you remove old foliage in late winter for best spring results. Be aware that daylilies will not thrive in poorly draining soil and will rot under soggy conditions. Fertilizing your plants immediately after each bloom period will promote re-blooming. In Zones 3 and 4, mulch with 5-6 inches of well-draining mulch in winter. Remember to remove mulch away from the crowns in spring. - Ground preparation, fertilization, pH - Planting instructions - Explanation and description of bare roots - How to plant bare root plants - If you cannot plant bare roots right away |
