Phlox hybrida Candy Cloud 'Pink', commonly sold as Mounding Phlox 'Pink', gives you a dense spring-flowering perennial with a broad carpet of pink color. The plant forms a low, mounded habit about 14 to 16 inches tall and 14 to 16 inches wide, filling containers and border fronts with a smooth, finished look. Heavy flower coverage arrives after many creeping phlox have peaked and before many summer perennials begin, helping you bridge a common color gap.

Use it where you want a spring display that reads as a mass rather than a few scattered flowers. It works well along walkways, near the front of sunny or partly sunny borders, in rock-garden edges, and in repeated groups that make a vivid ribbon of color. The mounded shape can soften hardscape and fill between upright companions such as salvia, dianthus, coreopsis, small ornamental grasses, and spring bulbs.

Plant Phlox hybrida Candy Cloud 'Pink' in full sun to part shade with average, well-drained soil and moderate moisture. Bright light supports dense growth and heavy flowering, while afternoon shade can be helpful where spring temperatures rise quickly. Water new plants regularly until roots establish, then keep moisture even during active growth. Avoid soggy sites, because the compact crown performs best where drainage is dependable.

After the spring show, trim lightly if the plant needs shaping or if you want to clear old bloom stems. Good airflow around the mound helps keep the foliage tidy, especially in humid weather. The compact size makes it simple to repeat through small gardens, patio beds, and container combinations without overwhelming neighbors.
