If you want nonstop color in a compact footprint, Rosa 'Flower Carpet® Mini Cherry' is an easy-care groundcover rose that stays low and tidy while blooming heavily for months.

Plant it where you can give it plenty of sun for best flowering. It performs best in full sun, but it will tolerate some light shade (you may see fewer blooms). Provide fertile, moist, well-drained soil, and keep the root zone evenly watered during establishment. A slightly acidic to neutral soil is ideal.

At maturity, you can expect a dense, spreading shrub about 12-24 inches tall with a wider, groundcover habit. The cherry-red flowers appear in clusters and keep coming from spring through fall, giving you reliable seasonal color for borders, edging, and mass plantings. Its compact habit also works well in a large container where you want a long-blooming focal point.

For best results, mulch to conserve moisture and moderate soil temperatures, and water at the base to help keep foliage dry. In late winter or early spring, you can lightly prune to shape and encourage fresh growth, then feed with a balanced rose fertilizer as new growth begins.
