Hydrangea arborescens 'Invincibelle Wee White®' is a compact smooth hydrangea selected for abundant, creamy-white mophead blooms on a tidy, rounded shrub. You can use it to brighten borders, foundation beds, and even larger containers where its summer flowers stand out against green foliage.
Give it sun to part shade. In cooler climates, more sun helps with strong stems and heavier bloom; in hotter areas, you will get the best look with morning sun and afternoon shade. Keep soil evenly moist, especially in full sun, and mulch to help protect the shallow roots and hold moisture.
This hydrangea blooms on new wood, so you can prune with confidence. In late winter or early spring, cut stems back to a low framework or reduce by about one-third to encourage fresh growth and plenty of flowering shoots. Remove any weak or winter-damaged stems as you tidy the plant.
At maturity it typically stays in the 12-36 inch range, making it easy to fit into small gardens. Plant it in well-drained soil enriched with organic matter, water during dry spells, and enjoy the fresh white blooms that transition to soft ivory as the season progresses.
