Rosa 'Highwire Flyer™' (Climbing Rose 'Highwire Flyer™') brings vivid, hot-pink double flowers to your garden on a short, manageable climber. You will get the best performance by planting it where it can be trained onto a trellis, fence, arbor, pergola, or wall, and where it receives plenty of sun and good air circulation.
At maturity, expect roughly 48-72 inches tall with a spread around 60-72 inches, making it a great choice when you want a climbing rose effect without a towering, oversized plant. Tie or weave flexible canes onto supports as they grow to create a fuller, more flower-covered display and to guide coverage where you want it.
Provide well-drained soil and steady moisture during establishment. Water deeply when the top few inches of soil dry, then let the planting area dry slightly between waterings. A 2-3 inch mulch layer helps conserve moisture and moderates soil temperatures; keep mulch pulled back from the base of the canes.
For ongoing care, feed like you would other modern landscape roses during the growing season, and remove spent blooms to encourage repeat flowering. Prune in late winter or early spring to remove dead or weak growth and to shape; keep the strongest canes and continue training them horizontally or in gentle arcs to promote more flowering shoots. In colder regions, provide standard winter protection appropriate for your site and exposure.
